A small-mid sized strategic communications company, specializing in pharmaceutical marketing is seeking a Creative Director to join its dynamic team. The position is newly created to manage and write copy for a new line of promotional projects, however will allow the chosen candidate the ability to mould the position within the existing product line and creative team. The candidate will also be responsible for a company rebranding in the first half of the year. The position requires a strong background in copywriting and an ability to provide artistic direction to the creative team on all projects. The product lines include primarily print and web, including Web 2.0. The company has a fast-paced but fun and extremely flexible atmosphere and the position offers growth for the right candidate. The ideal candidate will have a flexible attitude towards the roles and responsibilities required of someone in a small growing company.
Requirements:
Must have direct to professional pharmaceutical copywriting experience (mass market and specialty, multiple brands) and be comfortable analyzing clinical data for promotional writing.
Must have experience developing message platforms and promotional messaging for pharmaceutical brands marketing to HCPs.
Provide artistic direction for entire creative team
Strong copywriting skills
Strong conceptual and strategic-thinking skills
Ability to generate and present new ideas effectively
Lead creative sessions for project launch meetings
Manage multiple projects from concept through completion
Develop creative programs and design concepts that meet the objectives of the client and that advance the brand strategy
Must thrive working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality of work
Need a flexible, proactive, can-do attitude with a strong sense of urgency
Able to balance the need for quick turnaround with longer term strategic efforts
Provide quality control over concepts and projects
Effective leader/manager/team player/collaborator
Supervise and mentor current creative team
Build and lead team aligned with company growth
Work with internal teams to generate ideas for pitching and proposals
Work with Account Executives to make sure the client`s needs are being met and the creative goals are on track.
Highly competent in all design software
Experience with clients in healthcare industries preferred
